Another type of chicory from the market garden. This is a yellowy leaf which is beautifully speckled with red flecks. It is slightly less bitter than some of the other chicory varieties and is definitely one of our favourites. We would recommend using this variety in salads (goes really well with blue cheeses, pear, apple and walnuts), but it can also be cooked like the Treviso precoce that we offer.
Best stored in the fridge and should keep for a couple of weeks, but you may need to peel off a couple of outer leaves if you keep it that long.
